Refund & Cancellation Policy

Last Updated: September 2026

This Refund & Cancellation Policy applies to travel reservations and related services offered through Right Fare Match, an independent Online Travel Agency (OTA) operated by Plane To Paradise LLC.

This Policy applies to:

Flight Reservations | Car Rental Reservations | Cruise Reservations

Refund and cancellation eligibility varies according to the travel product purchased, applicable supplier rules, fare or rate conditions, booking terms, circumstances of the cancellation, and applicable law.

Customers should review the cancellation and refund conditions presented for their particular reservation before completing a purchase.

Nothing in this Policy is intended to limit or waive any consumer or passenger right that cannot legally be waived.

1. General Refund & Cancellation Principles

Travel products do not all carry the same cancellation conditions.

Depending on the product selected, a reservation may be:

  • Fully refundable;
  • Partially refundable;
  • Refundable only before a specified deadline;
  • Changeable subject to conditions;
  • Subject to a fare or rate difference;
  • Subject to supplier charges;
  • Non-refundable;
  • Non-changeable; or
  • Subject to special promotional, private, bulk, consolidator, wholesaler, dealer, or supplier conditions.

The conditions applicable to the specific reservation will determine the customer's voluntary cancellation and refund eligibility, subject to any mandatory rights provided by applicable law.

2. Flight Cancellation & Refund Policy

Flight tickets are subject to the fare rules and conditions associated with the applicable reservation.

Refund and cancellation conditions can depend on:

Airline | Route | Fare Type | Booking Class | Cabin | Supplier | Inventory Source | Ticketing Conditions

A flight ticket may be refundable, partially refundable, restricted, or completely non-refundable for a voluntary customer cancellation.

Customers should therefore review the applicable fare conditions before authorizing payment.

3. Non-Refundable, Bulk, Promotional & Consolidator Fares

Right Fare Match may obtain certain flight inventory through:

Airlines | Consolidators | Wholesalers | Fare Dealers | Private Fares | Negotiated Inventory | Bulk Inventory | Promotional Inventory | Other Travel-Industry Sources

Some of these fares may provide pricing or availability that differs from standard publicly available airline fares.

They may also carry more restrictive conditions.

Depending on the applicable fare, restrictions may include:

  • No voluntary refund after ticketing;
  • No voluntary cancellation refund;
  • Limited or prohibited changes;
  • Supplier-imposed cancellation penalties;
  • Restrictions on routing changes;
  • Restrictions on passenger-name changes;
  • Loss of remaining ticket value following a no-show; or
  • Other fare-specific restrictions.

Where a fare is non-refundable or materially restricted, the applicable restriction should be disclosed as part of the booking process before purchase.

If a customer voluntarily cancels a properly disclosed non-refundable ticket, the airfare may have no refundable value except for amounts that are refundable under applicable law or applicable supplier rules.

Important

A fare being non-refundable for voluntary cancellation does not eliminate a refund right created by mandatory law.

For example, an airline-initiated cancellation or qualifying significant schedule change may create refund rights even when the original fare was sold as non-refundable.

4. Customer-Initiated Flight Cancellations

A customer-initiated or voluntary cancellation occurs when the customer chooses not to travel even though the booked transportation remains available substantially as reserved.

In these circumstances:

  • Refund eligibility depends on the purchased fare;
  • Non-refundable tickets may have no refundable airfare value;
  • Refundable tickets remain subject to their applicable conditions;
  • Airline or supplier penalties may apply;
  • Right Fare Match service fees may apply where separately disclosed and legally permitted;
  • Applicable unused taxes may be refundable in certain circumstances; and
  • No-show rules may apply if cancellation is not completed before the required deadline.

Customers should contact Right Fare Match as soon as reasonably possible if they need to cancel an eligible reservation made through us.

5. Airline-Initiated Cancellations & Significant Schedule Changes

Different rules can apply when an airline, rather than the customer, cancels or significantly changes a flight.

Depending on the itinerary and applicable law, the customer may have rights to:

Refund | Rebooking | Alternative Transportation | Travel Credit | Other Applicable Remedies

Where mandatory passenger-protection law provides a right to a refund, a voluntary non-refundable fare condition will not eliminate that statutory right.

For eligible transportation to, from, or within the United States, applicable U.S. Department of Transportation passenger-refund requirements will apply.

Other jurisdictions may provide additional or different passenger protections.

Where Right Fare Match is responsible for processing a legally required refund as the applicable ticket agent, we will process the refund in accordance with the legal requirements applicable to the transaction.

6. Flight Changes

Where a flight ticket permits changes, the customer may be required to pay:

Fare Difference

Airline or Supplier Charges

Applicable Taxes

Right Fare Match Service Fees, where separately disclosed and applicable

Changing a reservation does not guarantee that the original fare will remain available.

If the replacement flight costs more than the original itinerary, the applicable fare difference may be payable.

If the replacement itinerary costs less, the difference does not automatically become refundable in cash unless required by the applicable fare conditions or law.

All changes remain subject to availability.

7. Flight No-Shows

A passenger may be treated as a no-show if the passenger does not travel and fails to cancel or modify the reservation within the time permitted by the applicable airline or fare rules.

A no-show may result in:

  • Loss of ticket value;
  • Cancellation of remaining flight segments;
  • Loss of refund eligibility;
  • Loss of change eligibility;
  • Loss of travel-credit eligibility; or
  • Other airline or supplier consequences.

Customers who know they will not travel should contact us before the scheduled departure whenever possible.

8. Partially Used Flight Tickets

If part of an itinerary has already been used, any refund will generally be limited to the legally or contractually refundable unused portion of the ticket.

The value of transportation already provided may be deducted where permitted.

Special rules may apply where a passenger's journey is interrupted because of an airline cancellation or another event covered by applicable passenger-protection law.

9. Baggage, Seats & Other Ancillary Services

Optional airline products may include:

Checked Baggage | Seat Selection | Priority Services | Meals | Lounge Access | Upgrades | Other Ancillary Services

These products may have refund conditions separate from the underlying airline ticket.

Refund eligibility depends on the provider's applicable rules and mandatory law.

Where applicable law requires the refund of an ancillary service that was purchased but not provided, the applicable legal requirement will govern.

10. Car Rental Cancellation Policy

Car rental reservations made or facilitated through Right Fare Match are subject to the conditions associated with the selected rental rate and applicable rental provider.

A rental reservation may be:

  • Pay-later and cancellable;
  • Prepaid and refundable;
  • Partially refundable;
  • Refundable before a stated deadline;
  • Subject to a cancellation charge;
  • Non-refundable after a specified deadline; or
  • Fully non-refundable after confirmation.

The applicable cancellation conditions should be reviewed before the rental reservation is completed.

11. Car Rental No-Shows

A rental provider may treat a reservation as a no-show when the customer fails to collect the vehicle within the time permitted under the applicable rental conditions.

A no-show may result in:

  • Cancellation of the reservation;
  • Loss of prepaid amounts;
  • Cancellation charges;
  • Loss of promotional rates; or
  • Other supplier-imposed consequences.

Customers whose arrival is delayed should contact the applicable rental provider or Right Fare Match as soon as reasonably possible.

12. Rental Provider Cancellation or Failure to Supply

If a rental provider cancels a confirmed reservation or cannot provide the contracted rental service, available remedies may depend on:

  • The applicable rental terms;
  • Whether an alternative vehicle is offered;
  • Whether the customer accepts an alternative;
  • Amounts already paid;
  • The circumstances of the cancellation; and
  • Applicable consumer-protection law.

Right Fare Match may assist with eligible reservations made through us in identifying available alternatives, but replacement inventory cannot be guaranteed.

13. Cruise Cancellation Policy

Cruise reservations commonly have cancellation schedules based on how far in advance of departure the reservation is cancelled.

Depending on the cruise line, cabin, rate, promotion, and booking conditions, a cruise reservation may be:

  • Fully refundable before a specified deadline;
  • Subject to loss of deposit;
  • Subject to a percentage cancellation penalty;
  • Subject to progressively increasing cancellation penalties;
  • Non-refundable after a specified date; or
  • Fully non-refundable under certain promotional conditions.

Cancellation penalties can increase substantially as the sailing date approaches.

Customers should carefully review the applicable cruise cancellation schedule before completing a reservation.

14. Cruise Line Cancellations & Itinerary Changes

Cruise lines control their vessels, sailing schedules, embarkation arrangements, ports of call, and itineraries.

A cruise line may:

Change a Port | Substitute a Port | Modify an Itinerary | Delay Departure | Shorten a Sailing | Cancel a Sailing

Available refund, credit, rebooking, or other rights depend on the cruise line's passenger contract, applicable law, circumstances of the change, and whether the customer accepts an alternative arrangement.

A change to a port of call does not automatically create a right to cancel the entire cruise unless the applicable cruise contract or law provides such a right.

15. Refund Method

Where a monetary refund is due, it will generally be returned to the original form of payment, unless another method is required or permitted by applicable law, payment-system rules, or an agreed lawful arrangement.

Some travel transactions can involve payments processed by different entities.

For example, separate portions of a transaction may be collected by:

Right Fare Match / Plane To Paradise LLC

Airline

Car Rental Provider

Cruise Supplier

Consolidator

Wholesaler

Payment Processor

Other Disclosed Travel Supplier

Where different parties originally collected different portions of a transaction, refunds may also be processed separately by those parties.

16. Refund Processing Times

Refund processing times depend on:

  • Applicable law;
  • Type of travel product;
  • Supplier;
  • Payment method;
  • Fare or rate conditions;
  • Party that collected the original payment;
  • Supplier approval where required; and
  • Financial institution processing.

Where a mandatory statutory refund deadline applies, that deadline will control.

Where no specific legal deadline applies, eligible refunds will be processed within a commercially reasonable period after approval and receipt of the information reasonably necessary to process the refund.

After a refund has been released, banks, card issuers, and payment networks may require additional time before the credit appears on the customer's account.

17. Travel Credits & Vouchers

In certain circumstances, a travel provider may offer:

Travel Credit | Voucher | Rebooking | Alternative Transportation

instead of a cash refund.

Credits and vouchers can carry conditions including:

  • Expiration dates;
  • Passenger-name restrictions;
  • Route restrictions;
  • Fare differences;
  • Provider-specific usage requirements; and
  • Other limitations.

Where applicable law gives a customer the right to a monetary refund, a travel credit or voucher will not replace that mandatory refund unless the customer validly elects to accept the alternative where legally permitted.

18. Right Fare Match Service Fees

Right Fare Match may charge separately disclosed fees for eligible services such as:

Booking Assistance | Modification Assistance | Cancellation Processing | Post-Booking Services | Other Requested Travel Services

Any material Right Fare Match fee applicable to a transaction should be disclosed before the customer agrees to that service or transaction.

A Right Fare Match service fee and a travel provider's fare, rate, or penalty are separate amounts unless expressly stated otherwise.

The refundability of a Right Fare Match service fee may therefore differ from the refundability of the underlying flight, car rental, or cruise reservation.

Where a service has already been materially performed, an applicable service fee may be non-refundable to the extent permitted by law and the conditions disclosed for that service.

19. How to Request a Cancellation

Customers seeking to cancel an eligible reservation made through Right Fare Match should contact us as soon as possible.

A cancellation request may require:

  • Verification of the customer;
  • Booking or reservation reference;
  • Traveler or passenger name;
  • Review of applicable supplier conditions;
  • Confirmation of cancellation charges;
  • Supplier authorization;
  • Submission of the request to the applicable provider; and
  • Confirmation that the cancellation has been completed.

Submitting a cancellation request does not mean that the reservation has been cancelled.

Customers should not consider a booking cancelled until cancellation confirmation has been provided.

20. Cancellation Requests Close to Departure

Cancellation requests submitted close to departure can be especially time-sensitive.

If there is insufficient time to complete the required cancellation procedure before the applicable deadline, the reservation may become subject to the provider's no-show conditions.

Customers should therefore contact us promptly after deciding not to travel.

21. Information Required for Refund Requests

We may request information reasonably necessary to identify and process an eligible refund, including:

  • Traveler or passenger name;
  • Right Fare Match booking reference;
  • Ticket number where applicable;
  • Travel dates;
  • Reason for cancellation;
  • Relevant supplier information; and
  • Supporting documentation where reasonably required.

Incomplete or inaccurate information may delay processing.

22. Medical Emergencies, Death & Exceptional Circumstances

Certain airlines, rental providers, cruise lines, or other suppliers may provide discretionary waivers following:

Death | Serious Illness | Medical Emergency | Other Qualifying Exceptional Circumstances

Such waivers are not guaranteed.

Supporting documentation may be required.

Unless applicable law creates an independent refund right, the supplier generally determines whether a discretionary waiver will be approved.

Right Fare Match may assist with submitting an eligible request but cannot guarantee approval.

23. Duplicate Reservations

Customers are responsible for reviewing reservation details before purchasing additional travel.

Creating a duplicate reservation does not automatically create a right to cancel either reservation without penalty.

Refund eligibility for accidental duplicate reservations depends on applicable supplier rules and mandatory law.

24. Name Corrections & Passenger Changes

Travel providers can impose strict rules concerning traveler names.

A requested name correction or passenger substitution may:

  • Require supplier approval;
  • Require ticket reissuance;
  • Involve a fare difference;
  • Involve additional charges;
  • Be restricted; or
  • Be prohibited.

A request to transfer a reservation to another traveler does not automatically create a cancellation or refund right.

25. Refunds of Taxes & Government Charges

Certain unused government-imposed taxes or charges may remain refundable even where the underlying travel product is non-refundable.

Eligibility depends on the applicable jurisdiction, nature of the charge, supplier rules, and applicable law.

A non-refundable fare condition will not eliminate an obligation to return an amount that applicable law requires to be refunded.

26. Closed or Replaced Payment Accounts

Where a refund must be returned to the original payment method but the original payment account has subsequently been closed, replaced, or changed, the applicable financial institution may determine how the incoming credit is handled.

Additional information may be required where permitted by law and applicable payment-system rules.

27. Foreign Currency & Exchange Rates

Where a transaction involves foreign currency or currency conversion, the amount ultimately appearing on a customer's account following a refund may differ because of:

Exchange-Rate Movements | Bank Conversion Rates | Card-Issuer Adjustments | Payment-Network Charges

Foreign-exchange differences imposed by financial institutions or payment networks are generally outside Right Fare Match's control.

28. Travel Insurance & Protection Products

Where a customer purchases travel insurance or another protection product, coverage is governed by the terms of the applicable policy or protection plan.

Purchasing insurance does not automatically convert an otherwise non-refundable travel product into a refundable reservation through Right Fare Match.

Eligible claims should be submitted according to the applicable insurance or protection policy.

29. Events Outside the Parties' Reasonable Control

Travel may be affected by circumstances such as:

Severe Weather | Natural Disasters | Strikes | Government Restrictions | Airport or Port Closures | Airspace Restrictions | Public-Health Events | Civil Disturbances | Other Extraordinary Events

Refund, rebooking, cancellation, or credit rights in these circumstances depend on applicable law, provider policies, and the specific circumstances.

Where mandatory law creates a refund or other passenger right, that legal requirement will apply.

30. Chargebacks & Payment Disputes

A payment dispute or chargeback does not automatically cancel the underlying travel reservation.

Unless the reservation is separately and properly cancelled, applicable supplier cancellation or no-show conditions may continue to apply.

Customers with questions concerning a transaction or refund are encouraged to contact Right Fare Match so the reservation and applicable refund conditions can be reviewed.

Where a payment dispute occurs, Right Fare Match may provide relevant reservation records, transaction information, customer authorizations, confirmations, supplier documentation, and refund information to authorized payment processors, financial institutions, card networks, or other parties involved in resolving the dispute.

31. Supplier Terms & Mandatory Consumer Rights

Supplier fare rules, rental conditions, cruise contracts, and Right Fare Match terms operate subject to applicable mandatory law.

If a supplier's terms describe a travel product as non-refundable but applicable law requires a refund in the circumstances, the mandatory legal requirement controls.

Where no mandatory refund right applies, the cancellation and refund conditions accepted for the applicable reservation will generally govern.

32. No Waiver of Mandatory Rights

Nothing in this Refund & Cancellation Policy is intended to waive, eliminate, or unlawfully restrict any mandatory consumer right concerning:

Refunds | Reimbursement | Cancellation | Rebooking | Passenger Protection | Other Non-Waivable Rights

If a provision of this Policy conflicts with mandatory applicable law, the mandatory law will govern to the extent of that conflict.

Important Notice About Restricted Fares

CERTAIN FLIGHT FARES AVAILABLE THROUGH RIGHT FARE MATCH MAY BE SOURCED THROUGH CONSOLIDATORS, WHOLESALERS, FARE DEALERS, PRIVATE OR NEGOTIATED ARRANGEMENTS, BULK INVENTORY, PROMOTIONAL INVENTORY, OR OTHER TRAVEL-INDUSTRY SOURCES.

SOME OF THESE FARES MAY BECOME NON-REFUNDABLE AFTER BOOKING OR TICKETING AND MAY HAVE STRICT CHANGE, CANCELLATION, OR NO-SHOW CONDITIONS.

Where a material non-refundable or restrictive condition applies to a particular fare, it should be disclosed before the customer completes the purchase.

By completing the purchase after the applicable conditions have been presented, the customer accepts those conditions, subject always to any rights that cannot legally be waived.

A NON-REFUNDABLE CONDITION APPLICABLE TO A CUSTOMER'S VOLUNTARY CANCELLATION DOES NOT ELIMINATE A REFUND RIGHT THAT MAY ARISE UNDER MANDATORY LAW FOLLOWING AN AIRLINE-INITIATED CANCELLATION, QUALIFYING SIGNIFICANT CHANGE, OR OTHER LEGALLY PROTECTED EVENT.
